Depression is undoubtedly a mental disorder that is causing more harm every passing day. It causes the brain and the central nervous system to react in some abnormal way which can be quite alarming.
Many people are victims of it and our celebrities are no different. Some have shared their negativity and positivity to it whiles others are still striving through medication or through counselling sessions to eradicate it.
The latest victim to openly speak about his depression is the Fante Rap Champ Pappy Kojo, who in a recent interview with the ever meticulous interviewer Delay made some intriguing revelation about how him being trolled all over social media over his failure to grab an award at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA’s) lea him into serious depression hence his heavy smoking habit.

This revelation got all and sundry deliberating and analysing about it, of which one of Ghana’s dancehall Kingkong Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr known widely as Shatta Wale also added a voice.

Speaking with showbiz personality/presenter SammyFlex on a radio program dubbed “Showbiz Agenda” on Zylofon Fm, Shatta Wale saw the whole situation as it being unfortunate but advised the public on deriving positivity out of every negativity. When asked how he deals with trolling and depression, he stated “I’m human and it is quite normal for me to get depressed over trolling and insults but I channel my depressions and every situation into music”.
We can all attest to the numerous songs Shatta Wale has got out there and one of such song “Prove You Wrong” can widely back his saying “I Express My Depression Through Music”.
